Art Market coming to Point Breeze pop-up garden on July 18
Want to grab some drinks and shop for art at the same time?
On Saturday, July 18 the pop-up garden from John Longacre of American Sardine Bar, located at Point Breeze Avenue and Tasker Street, will be hosting more than 15 local artists and boutiques for an art market.
At the event you can expect to see various mediums of art being sold, including ceramics, photography, jewelry, paintings and more. Shops like Occasionette will also be setting up at the art market.
While you’re shopping around, you can also enjoy the special draught beer and wine that will be sold that day at the pop-up garden. Some proceeds from drink purchases will go towards the NiaNext Apprentice, a dance company that works towards cultural and social change, to support their mission trip to New Orleans. In New Orleans they hope to share dance techniques with children in the 9th Ward.
The event is from 12 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Saturday, July 18.
