Addiction Boutique closing up shop at 12th and Passyunk
Addiction Boutique, which has been located at 12th and Passyunk since June of 2013, is closing up shop.
The boutique, which sold plenty of bold clothing options, was owned by Alicia DiMichele, who herself has a colorful history with mob connections and a stint on VH1’s show, “Mob Wives.”
Although DiMichele is closing up both locations of her boutique, including this location in Philly and her second location in Cherry Hill, NJ, she is rebranding herself and launching her own clothing line called “Alicia DiMichele.” The new store selling her personal brand will be opening in Marlton, NJ in February.
The building that houses Addiction is still for sale as part of a three-building package, including the dollar store next door, which takes up the first-floor of two combined buildings. But the price of that package has been lowered to $799,900, down from $985,000 when we wrote about it in April.
Here’s that listing. And what about Interior Concepts’ building? It looks like it’s been taken off the market without a buyer. Apparently, $2.9 million was way too much after all.
What would you like to see move into this space?
I’d like to see that whole corner demolished and something new built there with apartments and a few stores
The furniture store is up for sale, so I imagine that entire corner is going to be very different within the next year. I can’t imagine the dollar store lasting much longer either. Would be great to see a brew pub go in at that corner. Plenty of space between those stores
Shame. Nice store. My wife got a lot of things there.
Ha, good one!
Oh, ProvWitOut, you’re always good for a laugh!
Truthfully though, my wife went there too after she was dipping so bad she almost lit the house on fire with me in it while I was sleeping.
That dollar store actually does great business and is always crowded. The people who run it are very nice and it is kept clean. It caters to the residents that live in the neighborhood although no one really seems to care about that. So I guess another hipster restaurant establishment it is!
The store is a whole in the wall. It looks like crap
